**Ingredients:**


For the Chicken:

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

- 1 cup buttermilk

- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- 1 teaspoon paprika

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder

- 1 teaspoon onion powder

- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste for spiciness)

- Salt and pepper to taste

- Oil for frying


For the Spicy Sauce:

- ½ cup mayonnaise

- 2 tablespoons hot sauce (adjust to taste)

- 1 teaspoon paprika

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder

- Salt and pepper to taste


For the Sandwich Assembly:

- 4 burger buns

- Lettuce leaves

- Sliced tomatoes

- Sliced pickles (optional)

- Sliced red onion (optional)


**Instructions:**


1. **Prepare Chicken:** Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness. In a bowl, marinate the chicken in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for best results).


2. **Prepare Spicy Sauce:** In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, hot sauce, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Adjust the hot sauce amount to your preferred level of spiciness. Refrigerate until ready to use.


3. **Breading the Chicken:** In a shallow dish, mix the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Remove the chicken from the buttermilk and coat each piece thoroughly in the seasoned flour mixture, pressing gently to adhere.


4. **Fry the Chicken:** Heat oil in a skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Drain the cooked chicken on a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil.


5. **Assemble the Sandwiches:** Toast the burger buns lightly. Spread the spicy sauce on the bottom halves of the buns. Place a piece of lettuce on top, followed by the fried chicken. Add tomato slices, pickles, and red onion slices if desired. Top with the other half of the bun.


6. **Serve:** Serve the spicy chicken sandwiches immediately while the chicken is still warm and crispy.
